I wish i would have read complaints about this site before i ever ordered anything. My checking account was deducted $39.99 from this site on 6/20/08 for a purchase I DID NOT MAKE. The last and only purchase i made was in feb..(ny account history with them even shows that) I have emailed their customer service twice..no response and forget calling the customer service number. No one ever answers...they give you an answering machine to leave a voivemail! What customer service does that!?? I have left messages...and no returned phone calls have been made. Apparently this has happened alot to people now that I read...dont be the next! If you have ordered from them...your credit card number is on file with them...immeditaely delete your credit card. If you dont...well when it happens to you, dont say we didnt worn you.

It's hard to believe when you see a nice looking website that there is such FRAUD taking place behind the scenes.  

 

I hadn't ordered anything from Classic Closeouts since January 2006. Now I've had 3 unauthorized charges in the past 2 months; 2 for $69.99, and 1 for $59.99. 

 

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS MERCHANT!!! 

 

This business has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB!

I ordered a few months ago also. The last two charge statements have added charges of 49.99 and I just checked and they have already charged 69.99 for august. I called my charge company . I left a message today , I guess that is fruitless.

I think it might have been my subtle yet psycho tact of trying. First, I went to the website, dropped my card and then changed my password. Then on the site they have 25\7 customer support where you can email questions with a drop down list of 10 or so options that you can choose. And here is the message that I sent repeatedly. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. YOUR COMPANY HAS MADE UNAUTHORIZED DEBITS TO MY ACCOUNT. 7/30/2008 FOR 79.99 AND 8/1/2008 FOR 69.99. I HAVE CONTACTED MY BANK TO REISSUE MY CARD AND WILL BE CONTACTING NY BBB, THE NY ATTORNEY GENERAL ANDREW CUOMO, IC3.gov ALONG WITH ILLINOIS ATTORNEY GENERAL LISA MADIGAN ABOUT THE FRAUD. PLEASE RESPOND, to all the different options. Then this place sent me an email with their ‘new’ specials, so I fired back to that one the same message prolly about 10 to 15 times. I also called and left numerous messages on the voice mail system which has 7 different options. I tried them all. Yesterday I filed a complaint with the bbb of ny.

Same thing happend to me! I purchase something for $12 5 months ago and now they just charged me $69.99 in July and now $79.99 in August.. I did not make any purchases for these amounts!! Can we take them to court for FRAUD!?!?!

Yes the same things as happen to us in the last 2 months only our charges were $69.99 and & $79.99 My husband as not bought anything from them since 2006 and all of a sudden we have charges. We have also tried calling them no responds. I am going to my bank and going to have them dispute this it is considered fraud an unauthorized withdrawal.. Wish me luck!!!!

I just got hit with two back to back bogus charges on my credit card less than two weeks apart. Classic Closeout does not have a customer service department. I ordered once from them back in March. All of a sudden i have two charges on my credit card for $69.99 and for $59.99 in July. Please please report these swindlers to the BBB!!!!
